Guided Backcountry and Flats Fishing - 10,000 Islands

These waters got into me a long time ago and never let go.

I've been fishing the 10,000 Islands and the Everglades backcountry for over 30 years — back when you learned the place by feel, not by satellite overlay. Snook in the mangrove shadows, redfish on the shallow flats, tarpon making their runs through the passes — it's all out there, and I know where to find it.

I guide a limited number of trips each year, exclusively in the 10,000 Islands. If you're interested, reach out and we'll talk about what you're looking for.

The Skiff

We'll be fishing from a 2025 East Cape EVO 18 powered by a 2025 Suzuki 90. Built for skinny water — quiet on the pole, quick when we need to cover ground, and stable enough to handle whatever the weather decides to do. It'll get us there fast and dry.

Backcountry Expedition (Full Day)** Coming Soon**

What's better than a day on a state-of-the-art flats skiff in the 10,000 Islands? Going somewhere it can't follow. The Backcountry Expedition puts a canoe on deck alongside the skiff — your ticket into tight creeks and hidden bays that most anglers will never see. Too far to paddle, too shallow to pole. We get there anyway.

By design this is an intimate trip. Two people maximum, which means the water gets your full attention and so do you. If you want a fishing experience with some genuine wilderness attached to it, this is the one.

Full Day (8 hrs): $1,200 — Maximum 2 anglers.

What to Bring on Your Trip

I cover fishing licenses, insurance, cold water, ice, and all rods, reels, and tackle. Just bring yourself and the following:

The basics: Wide-brimmed hat or ball cap, polarized sunglasses, reef-safe sunscreen, non-aerosol bug spray, lightweight moisture-wicking clothing, rain jacket, soft-soled shoes.

Food and drinks: Snacks, lunch, and whatever you like to drink beyond water.

Optional but worth it: Camera or phone for photos, dry bag for valuables, small towel, any medications you need, and your lucky lure if you've got one.
